The Peace Process – An Award Winning Stress Management Retreat
01 Apr 2014

LANGKAWI, Malaysia – Stress is the cause of many illnesses today and it is often related to a host of other disorders that affect millions of people worldwide. Most people find ways to deny that they are stressed and instead of taking steps to address the situation, they seek temporary relieve by unwinding with alcohol, eating, shopping or take a vacation. Depression, low productivity, hypertension and heart related problems are of the common stress related illnesses mainly caused by these unhealthy lifestyle choices. Truth is, we cannot hide from stress indefinitely and the cumulative impact of stress over time will lead to a breakdown in physical and emotional health.

If you sense that it's time for a positive change in your life, then put away the gadgets and disconnect from the hectic pace of everyday life as you rediscover your true self in a sanctuary far away from rush-hour traffic, demanding deadlines and the strain of stress. V Integrated Wellness in partnership with The Peace Clinic invites you to join the Peace Process, a journey that will change your life forever by taking charge of your mind and emotions. This three day two night retreat is a winner of the 2014 Harpers Bazaar Spa Award for “Best Retreat” and most recently also, the winner of the “Malaysian Women’s Weekly” in the same category.

The retreat offers participants an unusual combination of technology using the emWave® to measure stress levels, advise by trained therapist and holistic healing methods such as Yoga and Massages in an ideal environment guaranteed to melt away your stress” says Jasvinder Kaur, Sales and Marketing Communications Manager of V Integrated Wellness.  She adds “It is much more than a stress-management program. Participants will benefit greatly from the combination of holistic healing treatments which will restore the mind, body and spirit as well as develop techniques that are essential for leadership, self-mastery, focus, and the ability to work effectively with others.”

Conducting the Stress Management Seminar and Tests are well known psychotherapists who need no introduction. Both Susan Kwok and Sherman Ng are trained psychotherapist whose experiences and training vary in many modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotional Behaviour Therapy (EBT), Positive Psychology, Energy Psychology, Bio-Resonance, Kinesiology, Core Dynamics, Human Software Engineering, Reiki, Motivational Medicine, Mind Body Medicine and Intuitive Healing. Commenting on the emWave® technology, Susan says that the revolutionary gadget collects pulse data through a sensor and translates the information from your heart rhythms into graphics.

“It is an innovative approach to improving wellness because a scientifically measurable state is now available for us to work on” she says adding that   the results from the emWave® test are used to teach people on how to manage stress. One example is teaching a person to increase order and harmony in the psychological and physiological state just by learning how to breathe correctly to change their heart’s rhythm patterns to create coherence to stress”.
